Or trick or treaters?

Paris Hilton's New BFF

Reality shows . . .
Does Paris need a new friend?
It's kinda stupid.

Don't get me wrong . . . I watch the show, but I still think it's kind of pathetic in a way. But if they integrate into the Hilton lifestyle, then more power to them, I guess. Not something I would want to do . . . they have to make total ding dongs of themselves.

Don Draper

Strong, slinking panther
Mysterious and striking
Prowling the jungle

I LOVE Mad Men on AMC. This haiku is dedicated to that beast of a man, Don Draper . . . a complex, gorgeous character. I hope this show is picked up for season 3!

Observing Client Behavior During a Price Increase Call

Snorting and barking
Like an animal in pain
Client price increase

Ha ha - it wasn't that bad. It's always tough to take an increase - even when the client totally understands why.

Muscadine Memories

With one taste I had
the muscadine memories . . .
A childhood long gone.

Have you ever had a memory brought back to you by a taste or a smell? Yesterday my sister and I saw muscadines and scuppernogs (types of grapes in grown in the Southeastern US), and we decided to buy them. We used to eat them when we would visit our grandparents' houses. They grew in our yard when we lived in Villa Rica, Georgia, tool.

I popped one in my mouth and bit down. The rush of juices and fruity flesh bowled me over. I felt like I was eight again and sitting on the swing at my great grandmother's house waiting for Guy, my great grandfather, to go pick flowers with me in their garden. It was the most powerful, wonderful, achingly sad sensation I have had in a long time.

Across a gravel-strewn road.
Ouch! He broke his foot.

My friend, Shawn, broke his foot this very way this past weekend.
