At home sick today
My stomach rumbling loudly
But I don't throw up

Faceless History
A long time ago
I was born only to die
And be forgotten
I was just thinking about history and the random people in it whom you will never hear about. Only the famous stand outs make it into the text books. Yet without those faceless peeps, would these stand outs even exist?

Evil Alarm Clock
Evil alarm clock:
"Screech! Screech! Screech! Screech!" taunting me.
Clock, I hate you so.

Without
Bird without a song
Day without the sunshine's warmth
Life without friendship
Aren't friends wonderful to have in your life?

Thoughts From My Father on Veteran's Day
You may not know this
The hardest part of war was
Leaving you behind
I gave my dad a Veteran's Day card to thank him for his service. He was drafted and had to go to Vietnam while was still quite young . . . barely a few years old, I guess. He shared the above thoughts with me. It twisted me up a bit inside. I am glad he came back - I couldn't imagine growing up without him (or my sisters, who would not exist if he had not come back!).
