Autobiographical?

Are all my haiku
Autobiographical?
Sometimes . . . sometimes not.

A friend said that some of my haiku made her worry about me . . . not all of these are necessarily personal. Sometimes I write about friends, a movie, a book, or even an overheard conversation. But, most are about me - but, not all. :)

The great Symbolist poet Rimbaud once wrote in a letter to a friend, "Je est un autre" (I is someone else), meaning that the "I" in his work was a narrator who wasn't himself.

I suppose narrators are part of ourselves...and we're part of them. But I can see the separateness.

Autobiographical has seven syllables, wow...I feel smarter just for being able to say it LOL
