What About Bad Deeds?

Good deeds don't save you
Salvation is based on faith
What about bad deeds?

Just thinking about a sermon I heard at church today . . . about faith is what saves you - not good deeds. But, what about bad deeds? Don't Catholics believe if you die with unconfessed sin you go to Hell?
