Why must you call now?
Nobody's dead - that I know of. It's just the whole concept of death and dying. It ruins so many things, doesn't it? I guess, conversely, death make us appreciate so many things, too - not take things for granted, that is. If we never died, then so many things we count as precious now maybe wouldn't mean as much.
